1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a service with Chhavi Cargo Movers (hereafter referred to as "the Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you (hereafter referred to as "the Client," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and the Company. Please read them carefully.
2. Quotations & Bookings
Our quotations are provided based on the information you supply. It is your responsibility to ensure the accuracy of this information.
- Validity: All quotations are valid for a period of 15 days from the date of issue, after which we reserve the right to amend the price.
- Accuracy: Quotes are based on the volume of items, distance, access conditions, and services required. Any changes to these factors (e.g., additional items, difficult access) may result in a revision of the final price.
- Booking Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation from you and/or payment of the required advance deposit.
3. Client Responsibilities
To ensure a safe and efficient move, you are responsible for the following:
- Accurate Information: Providing complete and accurate information about all items to be moved and the access conditions at both pickup and delivery locations.
- Presence: Being present or appointing an authorized representative at the location for the entire duration of the move to supervise and provide instructions.
- Prohibited Items: Ensuring that no dangerous, illegal, or hazardous goods (e.g., flammable liquids, explosives, corrosives) are included in the consignment. The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from such items.
- Valuables: Personally securing and transporting valuable items such as jewelry, cash, important documents, and small electronic devices.
- Parking & Access: Arranging for adequate and legal parking for our moving vehicle and ensuring clear access to the property. Any parking fees or fines incurred will be added to your final bill.
4. Payment Terms
Payment for our services is due as outlined in your service agreement.
- Deposit: An advance deposit may be required to secure your booking date and our resources.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance is due in full upon completion of the move, before our team departs from the delivery location, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Accepted Methods: We accept payment via cash, bank transfer, and other specified digital payment methods.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Please refer to our separate **Refund & Cancellation Policy** for detailed information. In summary, we operate on a no-refund basis due to resource allocation but offer flexibility for rescheduling when provided with adequate notice (typically 72 hours).
6. Liability & Insurance
We exercise the utmost care in handling your belongings. However, in the event of unforeseen circumstances, our liability is defined as follows:
- Standard Liability: The Company's liability for any loss or damage to your goods is limited. We strongly recommend you arrange for comprehensive transit insurance.
- Transit Insurance: We can assist you in obtaining comprehensive insurance coverage for your goods during transit. Please declare the value of your items to ensure adequate coverage. The terms of the insurance policy will govern any claims.
- Exclusions: We are not liable for damage to items packed by the client ("owner-packed" boxes), damage due to inherent defects, or loss of data from electronic devices.
7. Claims Process
In the unfortunate event of damage, any claims must be submitted in writing to our office within 48 hours of the completion of the move. The claim must include photographic evidence and a detailed description of the damage. We are committed to addressing all valid claims promptly and fairly as per the terms of our liability and any applicable insurance policy.
8. Governing Law
This agreement and any disputes arising from it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in our registered jurisdiction.
